Introduction
There are at least 1038 known species of Grass Skippers ( Hesperiinae ) found in the neotropical region.
The genus Callimormus comprises of 9 species, all of which are neotropical in distribution.
Callimormus corades is the most widespread, being found from Mexico to Peru and Brazil.
Habitats
This species can be found in grassy habitats including riverbanks, forest glades and clearings, and along roadsides, at altitudes between sea level and at least 1000m.

Adult behaviour
The butterflies nectar at the flowers of trees and shrubs, as well as herbaceous plants. They rest either with wings erect or in the typical Hesperiine posture. At dusk, they and other grass skippers often go to roost under the leaves of trees.
